Catwoman is a fictional character associated with DC Comics Batman franchise. The supervillainess created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, partially inspired by Kane's second cousin by marriage, Ruth Steel [1].
The original and best known Catwoman, Selina Kyle, first appears in Batman # 1 (spring 1940) where it is known as Cat. As an opponent of the Batman she whip transport burglar with a taste for playing top flight. [2] Modern writers have attributed to the activities and costume identity as a response to a history of abuse.
Since the 1990s, Catwoman has occurred in a series of names, which antiheroine rather than a supervillainess. The character was one of Batman's most enduring love interests, and has sometimes been described as his only true love.
A popular figure, Catwoman has been featured in most media adaptations related to Batman. Actresses Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, and Eartha Kitt introduced to a wide audience on the Batman TV series of the 1960s and the 1966 film Batman. Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992 represented character Batman Returns. Halle Berry played Catwoman in a movie in 2004, but loosely based on the character of Batman.
